I am an emerging artist with a passion for spiritual paintings and how spirituality creates an energy we can utilize in our every day lives. The focal point of my work is centered on humanity, love, compassion and our illusion of difference. It is this illusion that breeds hate in the world. I have chosen mixed media to express my vision because I can work in three-dimensional artforms utilizing texture, pattern, color, and written text thereby creating a collage of my thoughts and feelings. Anything that speaks to me can work its way into my pieces. My artwork is thought provoking because it represents what is going on in our world today. It represents how humans treat one another politically and socially. It also speaks to the spiritual, not religious, values we as humans struggle with every day. The art I create deals with the issues of hate and injustice and how we as humans justify these issues in the name of God.

I love to deconstruct old and new images. I gather articles and envision concepts that represent what is going on in our society. It might be related to racism, sex, sexuality, homosexuality or racial and gender equality. I take the view of the Supreme Being and connect it to a spiritual understanding that deals with the internal and external forces that shapes the human condition. When I work on a series it contains three to four pieces. The series can be viewed as a group or each piece can stand on its own merits. The series evolves the concepts about the mysterious ways of the universe that speaks across cultural and temporal barriers.

My mission is to create a body of work that will contribute to social change. My wish is for countries and races to understand that all men and women are physically one. As Paramahansa Yogananda once said, we are all descendants of our symbolic parents, Adam and Eve. We are spiritually one because we are the immortal children of our Father and bound by the eternal links of brotherhood. This is my mission. This is my passion. I seek to contribute to a league of souls and a united world. If my artwork can touch the soul of just one individual then I will have achieved my dream.
